L'ozono è una molecola triatomica (O³) che, veicolata allo stato liquido, gassoso o in forma di gel (Saini, 2011) è largamente impiegata in ambito medico e, nello specifico, in moltissimi campi dell'odontoiatria (Akdeniz et al., 2018; Karaca, Ergun, & Ozturk, 2018; Mostafa & Zakaria, 2018) per le sue documentate proprietà antibatteriche, antifungine e antivirali.

Il presente caso clinico illustra la risoluzione di un ampio difetto intraosseo sull'elemento 2.1 trattato mediante Rigenerazione Tissutale Guidata (GTR) secondo l'approccio della preservazione di papilla semplificata (SPPF) associata all'applicazione topica di gel a base di olio di semi di girasole ozonizzato.
